QF1.
Rudolf Durica ( Slovakia )
VS
Abbas Ahmadi ( Iran )

Abbas showed his agressiveness in the first round and created some surprises to the crowd. Rudo started to take control in the middle of 2nd round and continued to dominate in the third round. Both fighters showed world-class skills and tactics. Abbas was no doubt good, but Rudo was simply better.

Result: Rudolf Durica won on points.

QF2.
Benjamin Ritter (Switzereland)
VS
Andrei Kulebin ( Belarus )

¡@

Andrei did not give Benny any chance right from the beginning. Into the middle of first round, Andrei floored Benny with a mighty high kick into the neck. Benny got up and survived an eight count but was still looking a bit dizzy.

Result: Andrei Kulebin won KO at 1nd round.¡@

QF3.
Jaime Luengo-Contreras
( Spain )
VS
Sanitichai ( Thailand )

Santichai looked sharp in the first round and took total control of it. Casper turned the match around in the second round and Santichai looked very much in trouble then. The third round was very even. It was a very close and exciting match.

Result: Sanitichai won on points.¡@

QF4.
Tsang Hoi-Kwan
( Hong Kong )
VS
Daniel Mashamaite

(South Africa )

Again, it was a very close match. Hoi-Kwan, with a huge crowd cheering for him, showed a lot of courage from the beginning to the end. Hoi-Kwan had slightly better skills and Daniel had slightly stronger power. Not a very entertaining match but was close, exciting, and difficult to judge. Daniel took the match by showing a little bit better stamina.

Result: Daniel Mashamaite won on points.¡@

SF1.
Rudolf Durica ( Slovakia )
VS
Andrei Kulebin ( Belarus )

Definitely the match of the evening, and probably the best match taken place in Hong Kong in recent years. Andrei seemed to have taken lessons from his last defeat against Rudo and have studied Rudo's style. Rudo appeared to me slightly the better man in the ring but I have to admit that Andrei, who showed a bit more agressiveness, deserved the win.

SF2.
Sanitichai ( Thailand )
VS
Daniel Mashamaite
( South Africa )

Sanitichai dominated the whole match and walked away with a comfortable win. However, there is no shame for Daniel, who survived an eight count near the end of the first round.

Result: Sanitichai won on points.¡@

Final:
Andrei Kulebin ( Belarus )
VS
Sanitichai
( Thailand )

Andrei Kulebin seemed to have taken a lot from his last match with Rudo and was also a bit stressed. Santichai was surprisingly still looking fresh after fighting 6 rounds. Once again this was a very close match and could go either way.

Result: Andrei Kulebin won on points.¡@
